THE HOVE PRACTICE

Financing Your Care

As an exclusively Private General Practice, finances matters are an integral part of providing your care.

We are aware of the costs involved in providing your care, but can’t know (nor assume) your individual circumstances.

Please discuss costs with your General Practitioner before you incur them.

Whilst the consultation charge is set, significant additional work requiring their time, items such as blood tests, swabs, urine tests (excluding urine dips in the practice which are included in your consultation fee), ECG and spirometry (lung function testing) are not and all incur additional fees.

Signs within our consulting rooms and/or your General Practitioner will advise you before performing any action that incurs an additional fee, unless it has been previously discussed/arranged.

Whether or not you are insured may effect the most cost effective way of investigating and managing your problem. Please review the document: "Patient Financial Safeguarding Advice and Our Pledge" for more information and/or discuss with your General Practitioner during your appointment.

Regular care, prescribing and condition management is ably provided by all at The Hove Practice, but you may wish to integrate this with NHS care. We will happily, and safely, support this.
