Many cancers often show no symptoms until advanced stages, but early detection through screening can significantly increase the chances of treatment success. At The Hove Practice we work with a specialist partner to give our Patients access to Trucheck™ Intelli early detection cancer screening. Which cancers can Trucheck™ Intelli detect?
Specifically designed for healthy adults aged 35 and above, Trucheck™ Intelli uses a blood-based approach to identify over 70 types of solid tumours.
Validated to detect 12 different types of malignancy

Types of Results
Trucheck™ Intelli uses a blood-based approach, from a single 25 ml blood sample. It provides three types of results: positive, negative, or indeterminate.
Positive Result
If a positive result is returned additional diagnostic procedures will be required for confirmation.
Indeterminate Result
If an indeterminate result is returned, a repeat test will be completed free of charge.
Negative Result
If a negative result is returned, it's important to note this does not completely eliminate the possibility of cancer. Although effective, Trucheck™ Intelli does not identify all cancer types and is best used in conjunction with other screening methods as recommended by a healthcare professional.

Requesting your Trucheck™ Intelli Test
Make an Enquiry
Contact our Reception Team to let us know you’re interested - we’ll be happy to provide more information and get the process underway for you.
Pre-Assessment
f you’d like to go ahead with a Trucheck™ Intelli test, we’ll ask our specialist partner to make an assessment on whether this service is right for you. To enable this we’ll ask you to fill out a health and medical history questionnaire.
Appointment Scheduling
The next step will be to arrange a convenient time for your blood test at The Hove Practice. This can be combined with a Standard Consultation if you wish.
Test Process
Your blood sample will be sent to the laboratory for analysis and the results are produced around 18 days later.
Results and Guidance
Our specialist partner will contact you with your results and send the written report to your email address.
Further Steps
If required, you’ll receive a consultation with our partner’s in-house doctor or oncologist. They will go through your results in more detail and answer any other health queries you may have.

Register with Us
We welcome all ages to register with us and you do not have to be living in Brighton & Hove - we support patients from all over the South of England. You are welcome to use us as a one-off or an occasional service as suits you, or for your ongoing regular healthcare provision.
We can register you with The Hove Practice to arrange any of our Health Screening, General Health or Lifestyle Healthcare services. Registration is free and quick and our helpful team are always on hand to help. There's no ongoing obligation for you to use our services and you don't have to live in Brighton and Hove to join us.
As soon as you book a “New Patient” appointment, you will automatically be sent a digital registration form to complete.
