SUPPORTING WORKFORCE WELLBEING

Whether you’re arranging health assessments for a small team or exploring a planned programme for your workforce, we can help you consider an approach that suits your people, priorities and budget.

Talk to us about employee health assessments, Executive Medicals and options for additional GP appointments, with the scope and costs agreed before your programme begins.

Healthcare Shaped Around Your Business

Choose an approach that suits your team, with services and costs agreed around your requirements.

Employee Health Assessments

Give employees dedicated time with a GP to review their health and receive personalised advice. We can discuss a one-off arrangement or a planned annual programme. Explore Employee Health Assessments.

Executive Medicals

Arrange personalised health reviews for directors and business leaders, with medical history, examination and advice guided by each individual’s needs. Explore Executive Medicals.

Additional GP Appointments

You may also wish to fund GP appointments alongside health assessments. We can discuss the scope, appointment arrangements and costs as part of your proposal.

Clear arrangements from the start

Know what your programme includes, how it will work and what it will cost before you commit.

Understanding your requirements

We start by discussing your business, approximately how many people you would like to include and the services you’re interested in.

Agreeing your programme

Your proposal will set out eligibility, appointment arrangements, included services and pricing. It will also explain what results communication and follow-up are included, and where additional charges may apply. Investigations are guided by individual clinical needs. Unless included in your agreed package, these carry additional charges, discussed before proceeding.

Planning appointments

We agree how appointments will be booked and the proposed timescales, subject to availability. If you’re considering an annual programme, we can also discuss scheduling and renewal arrangements.

Personal care. Protected privacy.

Your business can fund healthcare while each participant’s medical information remains confidential.

Keeping health information confidential

Employer funding does not give your business access to an employee’s medical records or individual results.

We agree the administrative information needed to organise appointments and manage your programme, while protecting each participant’s clinical confidentiality.

If medical information needs to be shared with an employer, we explain what is requested and seek the individual’s informed consent, unless disclosure is otherwise required or justified by law or professional obligations.

Can your business fund employee health checks tax-free?

Supporting your team’s health may also offer a tax advantage. Certain employer-funded health checks can qualify for an exemption, subject to HMRC’s conditions.

What qualifies, and what’s excluded?

An employer can provide an employee with up to one qualifying health-screening assessment and one qualifying medical check-up per tax year without these being treated as a taxable benefit, provided HMRC’s conditions are met. This tax-free benefit may also apply to company directors who are employees of their business.

HMRC exclusions

The exemption does not cover medical treatment or medical checks connected with treatment. Additional investigations and follow-up care should not automatically be assumed to qualify.

What about family members?

Employer-funded assessments for an employee’s family or household members generally create a taxable benefit for the employee, unless the person receiving the assessment is also an employee of the employer providing it.

Always check with your accountant

Tax treatment depends on the services provided and how the arrangement is structured. Please check with your accountant or tax adviser before treating an assessment as exempt.
